THE FUTURE OF BUMIPUTERA UNDER BARISAN ALTEERNATIF

So, the results of the Malaysian 12th General Election was a Tsunami, a New Book and all the other superlatives used by the mass media. I was neither sad nor happy because I was quite ambivalent on which party to vote before the election. A part of me wanted to vote the opposition, just to punish the government which thought was corrupt and inefficient. But I felt very guilty because the government by and large had provided a very good service to the area where I live. There had been no more floods, and the roads were resurfaced a week before the election. In the end, like most Malays born and brought up in Johore, I voted the BN. the majority of Johorean Malays believe that UMNO is Johore's party. Tsunami or no Tsunami, they would die with UMNO.

But I live in Shah Alam, a city of Malay middle class. It must have the highest concentration of Malays with PhDs, per square mile than any other places in Malaysia. My office mate said I was ab embarressment to other PhD holders
